Lororua L. is a young herder from the Samburu region of Kenya. A fall while grazing livestock, during a period of extreme drought, caused a femur fracture. Thanks to the Adopt a Patient programme's Emergency Fund, Lororua was transferred in time to Chaaria Hospital, specialised in orthopaedics, where he was successfully operated on, avoiding the risk of losing his leg. He made a full recovery.
