We met Josephina J. as a child at the Msolwa Ujamaa hostel in Tanzania, where we have supported the Sponsor a Child programme for years. A leg deformity risked affecting her ability to walk as she grew. The Adopt a Patient programme covered the medication and periodic check-ups needed to monitor her progress over time, avoiding the need for surgery. Today Josephina runs and plays with her friends.
