Elizabeth

Elizabeth lives in Kibera, one of Nairobi's poorest neighbourhoods, together with her mother and sisters. Right-side hemiplegia makes walking and speaking difficult for her. The Adopt a Patient programme supported weekly physiotherapy sessions, transport and daily needs throughout her recovery, and also allowed her to attend a school for children with disabilities in Kibera. Through physiotherapy, Elizabeth has regained some of her ability to speak and move.
